This rural, coal-producing county is nestled in the
Appalachian Mountains of Southeast Kentucky. Although, it is a rural
community we are located close to Interstate 75, making us one and a
half hours from either Lexington, KY or Knoxville, TN.
Knox County is dedicated to education. It is
home to Union College, a four-year liberal arts college
affiliated with the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church
currently offering twenty-six undergraduate degrees and several masters
degrees.
